Even if you don't like red wine, you will love this! The trick is getting a nice thick wine syrup at the end to pour over the pears, it really does make a difference. 

If you are having a fancy dinner party and want to impress your friends, this is actually a very simple recipe to make, and it looks (and tastes) amazing. The firmness of the pears, the sweetness of the wine syrup, what a great combination. Try it, you will not be dissapointed.
